From 2 October, running until 31 December, LV= have been offering a 5% discount on their income protection premiums.
There appears to have been more activity on repricing Income Protection premiums this year. With the blow dealt to PPI, is it possible that we may now begin to see more of a focus across the whole of the industry on Income Protection, which is the most undersold product of all?
Several insurers have been working hard to boost the profile of Income Protection over the past few months. WIth the shrinking of the welfare state it's a product that's more important than ever. Those who are not promoting Income Protection, whether they are advisers, insurers or bancassurers - now is the time!
