Comment of the week
'It is important consumers understand exactly what they are buying. I recommend speaking to an life insurance and protection adviser who will highlight appropriate policies. People should view income protection, critical illness, life insurance, private medical insurance and mortgage payment protection insurance as a basket of goods, choosing which are most relevant for them at any given moment.'
Emma Walker, head of Life Insurance and Protection

We agree - in fact, we've been saying pretty much exactly that for the last five years.
Hero of the week
Royal Liver
Who made a mistake last week. They told us an incorrect underwriting decision regarding a client's life insurance application, which happens from time to time.
Why our hero? Because even though the information they told us was more favourable to the client, they decided, without us having to ask, to honour the better premium - the premium we had told the client, even though it was a mistake.
That's TCF, and it's not the first time Royal Liver has done so.Back to Life Insurance Bulletins
